The five stars on this review are only for the product, which I absolutely love. I have perhaps the most restricted diet of any non-cancer patient in the country, a diet that disallows me from eating any grains, refined sugars, even most fruits, but I CAN eat these ReBars, and they taste great. They’ve been an absolute godsend for me – one of a whopping TWO energy bars that I can eat out of the 80 or so bars that are in the ever growing energy bar aisle at my local grocer.
Unfortunately, the price on here is absolutely terrible. I came on here hoping that I could find a case of these for about $1.25 a bar, as I’m buying 5 or 6 of these a week at $2 a piece at Whole Foods (a store that’s not exactly known for its low prices). But now I find that, before shipping costs are even added to the equation, Amazon’s price is already higher than the price I’ve been getting at Whole Foods.
So let me get this straight, I can get 12 bars at the store down the street from my house for $24, or I can get 12 bars from some unknown seller for something around $32 (after shipping), and have to wait around a week to get them? Hmmm… no thanks, amazon.
